We are back again, with more details of our stalking!!
After visiting Persephone and the underworld, and having been warned by Tiresias, the great and powerful Odysseus says that we are going to head back to Circe's island, and we go to her for advice as to how he should attempt the journey. [We think he didnt really need advice from someone like her, but pitied her and so he asked to make her feel better..] It was hard to hear what she said, for we were eavesdropping from the adjacent room, but from what we gather, there were two possible routes we could take. After you pass the sirens, you needed to sail away from the sound, and head in the opposite direction to avoid becoming ship wrecked. If you do steer clear of the sirens then you head to a route with two differetn obstacles. The first is Scylla, a six headed monster that would eat a handful of his men and the next is Charybdis, a monster whirlpool that swallows and spits back all the water around it three times a day, which would destroy the ship and all the men. So we did as she instructed, although we were reluctant to follow the old hag's advice, and we managed to pass all the monsters with only a few casualties. And, our brave hunk of a captain decided to not put beeswax over his ears like the rest of us weaklings, and he stuck it out heroicly. Anyways, we were now on the island of Thrinacia, and Odysseus warned us not to eat any of cattle or other livestock or else there would be trouble from the god Helios. However, those barbarians we call "crew" could not resist the temptation and while Odysseus was away, they killed and feasted on the cattle. This angers Helios and he threatens to not rise during the day, which in turn irritates Zeus. The next day, while we are sailing away, a lighening strike comes down from the hand of Zeus to spilt our ship in half and kill all of the crew. [We managed to survive by using all of our strength to swim ashore, and using our stalking capabilites, we followed Odysseus as he boldly saves his own life]. He drifts to the island of Calypso where we end our story for now. More soon folks!
